Saiwei Debuts at RENEX‑2026, Helping Bangladesh Break the Energy Impasse
2026/04/16 00:00
From April 16 to 18, 2026, the 11th Bangladesh International Renewable Energy Exhibition (RENEX 2026) will be grandly held at the ICCB Exhibition Center in Dhaka. SAI Digital Energy will make a major appearance in Hall 2, Booths 41–43, showcasing its S1 energy storage cabinet, STS grid-connection cabinet, and a complete battery energy storage system (BESS), and warmly invites partners from all sectors to visit and engage in exchanges.
Bangladesh’s Energy Crisis: Urgent Need for Breakthrough in Industry and Commerce
Bangladesh is currently facing its most severe energy challenges in recent years. Natural gas production has been steadily declining, the gap between electricity supply and demand continues to widen, and power outages are occurring with increasing frequency nationwide. In March 2026, daytime load-shedding reached approximately 700 MW. At the same time, generation costs have risen by more than 118% compared with seven years ago, while retail electricity prices have increased at a rate far below the rise in costs, placing enormous pressure on government subsidies.
The ready-made garment (RMG) industry, a pillar of exports, has been hit hardest: power shortages have reduced factory capacity by 25% to 30%. Factories are now forced to rely on diesel generators to keep operations running, but the cost of on-site power generation is three to four times higher than grid electricity prices, while also leading to a substantial increase in carbon footprints—conflicting with global buyers’ environmental compliance requirements. Energy security has thus become a core determinant of industrial survival.

Policy Support Makes Energy Storage a Key Breakthrough
In June 2025, Bangladesh promulgated the revised Renewable Energy Policy 2025, setting a target of generating 20% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030 and explicitly endorsing the deployment of BESS, with incentives such as a 10-year corporate tax exemption. Concurrently, the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) has launched a tender for a large-scale 160 MW/640 MWh BESS project, thereby validating the feasibility and economic viability of energy storage solutions in the country.

Saiwei Digital Energy: Tailored Energy Storage Solutions for Bangladesh’s Industrial and Commercial Sectors
It is against this backdrop that Saiwei Digital Energy is showcasing its S1 energy storage cabinet, STS grid-connection cabinet, and complete battery energy storage system (BESS) at RENEX 2026, committed to delivering cutting-edge uninterruptible power solutions for industrial applications in Bangladesh.
Core values of SAV BESS:
Ensuring continuous and reliable power supply: millisecond-level switchover to backup power to prevent power outages from disrupting production lines;
Significantly reduce energy costs: By replacing diesel generators with energy storage, organizations can avoid the high procurement and operation-and-maintenance expenses associated with diesel, transforming electricity costs from a “highly volatile expense” into a “predictable fixed cost.”
Green and low-carbon, future-oriented: reducing factories’ carbon footprints to help export enterprises meet environmental compliance requirements in European and American markets;
Seamless integration with renewable energy: By pairing with solar photovoltaic systems, we build an integrated solar-plus-storage microgrid that enables on-site self-consumption and feeds surplus power back to the grid.

The Saiwei Digital Energy booth was continuously bustling with visiting buyers and industry professionals. Professional purchasers from local sectors such as apparel manufacturing, textiles, and plastics processing showed keen interest in Saiwei’s energy storage systems and engaged in in-depth discussions on key details, including system capacity and installation timelines. On-site contract-signing intentions were robust, underscoring the market’s urgent demand for energy storage solutions.
Let’s Meet in Dhaka and Build a Long-Term Partnership
We believe that the large-scale deployment of energy storage will provide Bangladesh’s industrial and commercial sectors with a new, low-cost, sustainable, and environmentally friendly pathway to electricity supply.
The Saiwei Digital Energy team warmly welcomes you to Booths 41–43 in Hall 2 at the ICCB Exhibition Center in Dhaka. The exciting exhibition continues—new and returning visitors are invited to stop by our booth for discussions and collaborations. Together, let’s work hand in hand to help Bangladesh’s industrial sector move toward a green future powered by reliable, sustainable electricity.
